Madam Sheela ji,
To your this thread, there are more than 200 viewers and more than half a dozen replies which gave me a temptation to post my view on your query.
If I call you Madam Sheela or Sheela Madam, what is the difference in it? The same difference you will find in your query subject.
I do not give importance to any designation. What you deliver is important to me. I do not wish to make more comments on this subject. There are many important subjects which need comments.

In many Public Sector Banks the designation goes like this.
Asst. Manager
Manager
Senior Manager
Chief Manager
Asst.General Manager
Dy.General Manager
General Manager
Here the designations are given according to their experience & promotions
Nok at it in this way:
Asst.Manager will be number one of the Branch in Rural area.
In urban areas Manager / Senior Manager Chief Managers will be number one and others work under him
In metros branches may be headed by Asst.General Managers or by Dy.General Managers depending upon the business mix of the branch.
In some Banks Chief Managers / Asst.General Managers may head Regional / Circle offices comprising 30 to 40 Branches.
The responsibility lies where they are posted and not on designation. So designation is nothing but a mere reognisation.
But to differenciate Manager Marketing and Marketing Manager it is like Cabinet Minister and Prime Minister all are Ministers only

Hai Sheela Both the designation are same. It is according to our discretion. In modern times, companies are using as MANAGER - DEPARTMENT. MANOKAVIN
