Hi
that was a great presentation & thanks for share it to all of us. Well I am a trainer on prevention of sexual harassment at work place. I work for an NGO. I would like to have some case studies of experiences of such incidents from the private sector. Your sharing would definitely help me in passing on the info to my students group. I am attaching a file by the national commission for women and their guidelines

Hi ken,
What sameer has pointed out is correct. Also it is mandatory for all the private & public sector companies/firms to constitute a committee to address issues on sexual harassment at workplace. Given below is the guideline on the committee:
Guidelines on Prevention of Sexual Harassment suggest both preventive and remedial measures
The employers should:
1.Set up a sexual harassment complaints committee which
is headed by a woman
has a minimum of 50% women members
has at least one outside member who is familiar with the issue
2. Make the employees aware by
widely publicising the guidelines
awareness workshops
members name and addresses prominently displayed
3. Amend conduct rules to prohibit sexual harassment
4. Ensure that no woman employee has any grounds to believe that she is disadvantaged in connection with the employment if she complains about sexual harassment.
Also to be noted is that the employer or his/her relatives do not have any place in the committee.
There can be criminal proceedings initiated against the harasser.
I hope this info will be helpful to you & the other members too.
We have initiated a campaign to educating people on the committee.
I would be very happy if the members in this forum help in taking this campaign forward by passing this info your friends & team members.
Thanks
