sir, pls tell me that any employer can encash PL on basic (Basic salary/30*nos of PL) it is wrong or & more than 15 PL can be leps by employer.

yes it is a wrong practice encashment is always calculated by 26 instaed of 30 and salary should be gross not basic, simply understand if any body is absent and his salary is deducted you deduct only basic of basic + all allowances.

PL encashment is not part of CTC and it is a sort of benefits. When you are absent, the deductions will be on Gross whereas while calculating a benefit it is generally on basic. Going by your logic to deduct only basic during absence, if you are absent for a whole month assuming no accumulated leaves are available in your account, will you expect salary excl. basic??
