Dear Nevil Diaz,
You can opt for either withdrawal (For less than 9.5 years of service) or for Scheme certificate while applying through Form 10C.
Once you have contributed for 10 years, you have no option to withdraw the EPS accumulations.
You are required to put at least 6 months of services before applying for withdrawal or Scheme Certificate.

Hi,
I too have a Question in regard to EPF.
I worked in a company at Chennai for 10 months and another company in Bangalore for 13 months.
I have applied and collected my PF amount from ESI after resignation. Presently I am working in GCC.
My Question is Am I Eligible for Pension under prevailing Laws, since I contributed for 20 months in 2 different States.
Can anyone Clarify this please?

Dear Kamaraj,
Mimimum 10 years of services is required for EPS pension.
Scheme Certificate is one to bridge the caps in the services which leads to 10 years
Once you put up services of 10 years ( A member of EPS for 10 Years) you will be eligible for pension.
Hope it is clear.

Pension is admissible only if one completes 10 years of contributing service under EPS INCLUDING SERVICE RENDERED UNDER EFPS 1971. ( May be in parts ),
Mr. Ashish has not mentioned the length of contributory period (length of service period ).
Mr. Sethupathy has amply clarified the provisions.
Form 10-c is required for claiming pension.
It will be of no use to ask for Scheme Certificate at this stage when no contribution is being paid.
FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATIONS, PL. GO THROUGH WEBSITE OF EPFO.
