I definitely agree with you on your viewpoint of the state of B-Schools and their faculty.
However, in the same breath, you took a dig at the fellows who tried to answer the query by comparing them to the ill famous doctor ( if i am not wrong).
"What can't be cured must be endured". The kid is asking the difference between PPT & Induction which shows his/her immaturity or background or the lack of knowledge. However, by discouraging him/her in a way that you have done , a career-in-making will be undone. It is always sweet to have an admonishing from a senior person like you but in my opinion a forum like Citehr is also meant to educate those people who have failed to learn during their studies.
