Dear Ashok,
Esi selling is Rs-15,000/- so you can deduct the esi up to Rs-15,000/- (Rs-175/- Maximum). After increase the salary you can deduct the esi on Rs-15,000/- Only up to ending half yearly return period (Up to March). After march you can stop the deduction of esi.

Dear all,
Even I am of the opinion that you do not need to pay contribution once the salary crosses 15000/-
First of all its difficult to track if you have many employees and second the employee would not get any benefit.

Dear Ashok
You need to pay the contribution on Rs. 18,000/-. This is his actual cash earnings and the Employee and Employer's Contribution should be on actual salary earned.
In the next revision period the employee will come out of coverage.

Dear Ashok,
1) as per esi rules, if any employees comes under esi, he should be pay full contribution (eg. 1st april to 30 sept 1st half & 1st oct to 31st march 2nd half) even though he cross the esi limit
2) if he got Rs.18000, means E.S.I amount will be Rs.315

Dear Ashok,
Iam Rahul and working in Mafoi randstad.
The question you have asked is simple.
The contribution of employee is till 31st march because ESI Half yearly return.
Always remember ESI Deduction is always on gross earned salary/wage.
As you saild the employee salary paid is 18000 so, ESI DEDUCTION IS ON 18000 Rs.
If you have any query please let me know.
At which firm you are working?
