Dear Mr Raj,
Though lengthy but it tells about the importance of soft skill. It would have have better if it would have been in the form of ppt with visuals.I am also a consultant and dealing in training , development and placement for pharma companys and non pharma companys.

I have always thought that I need to improve on my soft skills.
Though I was a brilliant student, I could never express myself. I have a stage fear, which prevented me from giving seminars and participating in any activities in school and college.
I fear to meet new people.
Bad childhood and bad marriage have made me even more introvert. I have had just 2 jobs in my 6 years career. Both my jobs have been through references and not by attending any interview. I still don't look out for a better job, because of fear of facing an interview.
I cant socialize. Can someone help. Is this lack of social skills, or is it something else.

DEAR Prof Raj,
I APPRECIATE YOUR INITIATIVES TO UPDATE THE CONTENT OF SOFT SKILL IN DIFFERENT WAYS.Even case studies content includes many points, which need to be avoided. As a trainer in Pharmaceuticals, I strongly advocate to deliver according to your reserve, let the participants grab the maximum, provided things are interesting and helpful.

I completely agree with Aruna Devi...

It is just a Clever Way to Brand the "Soft Skills" ....and attract prospects...

Being graduate of Premier Institute, Obviously He will be having slight overview of the Soft Skills...

Title is plotted to grab the attention..There isn't any resemblance between the title and story.

Also the mentioned point about the Client Re-acquisition through persuasive communication and empathetic listening seems to be made up story ..

But story was beautifully edited to capture the attention and keep motivating the reader to keep on proceeding.

Just want to make the point that I too am management graduate from an average business school and got a good job in my very first interview in which I was the only one who got selected out of 40 participating candidates.

In certain skills like motivation, interpersonal skills, confidence -- I don't rate much ..m just an average performer...

but there are certain areas where I do out-compete others..

I personally feel that we should analyze our non competent areas and look for the means which challenge our abilities.. coz we all have potential and possess inherent abilities ..all we need to do is sync these inherited abilities to the various skills cultivated during the course of journey ;

Currently doing research over the "Career Competency and Employability Skills in B School Students" felt like sharing my ideas...

Excellent work! However, you may like to present it as a Case Study to add value. Some places, it has lost momentum, giving a whiff of marketing of the soft-skills. You may consider reducing the length.

Your story is quite captivating, yes very very catchy. Both the title and the body of the story. I would think that the selection of title is intentional to get attention. Isn't it prof?.

The story telling, Relevance of the title to the story, the layout (takes some effort to read the story), the question on how the character cleared the GD and went to the interview round, the idea of dividing the text in two colours, I would say if improved will make Prof. a Story teller or Type-setter.
I guess, if for some time we do not be that critical of the rather irrelevant stuff and get the drift, I'd say the story does talk about a problem a lot of young graduates are facing, and the answer lies in Soft Skills.
