It can easily be verified by third party reference check agencies. Nowadays everyone must be aware that most IT companies is into third party ref.checks. These agencies are very dangerous because they get highly paid for it.
Trust me it can easily be verified by them, because they all together have a different techique for it, and moreover they have a special department for doing it.
And moreover Nasscom have all the details including ur PAN no. for all the employees working in IT sector whether he is getting a CTC of 1 Lacs or 10 Lacs.

Hi Friends,
Thanks for your advice and sharing your experience, as many people pointed out it will be anytime danger and have serious consequences. I have another offer of 7 lak/anm for which I gave genuine docs. But I feel this is less for my experience (5+ as Oracle DBA) what you say?
Thanks

Dear Rajan
From 4.7 lak/anm to 7 lak/anm - it already represents a hefty 50% jump. An opportunity that many people would love to have. But if you are able to convince the 3rd company that you are worth 9 lak/anm, then go ahead.
ps: Big Money Comes with Big Accountability, so what's the catch here?

Dear Rajan,
I worked as a Verification Executive in a Compnay and we were verified Pay slip also and most of the Verification Compnaies do this.
Please dont take a risk in that sensitive matter, otherwise your ex - employer can shot a legal case against you.

Hey rajan....i dont have much experience but be confident......as u have already done it ....u cant move back so just believe in yourself positively because according to law of attraction ......things come to you as u feel so if u continuously fear about it ....then things may turn against you....now try it and start thinking that you have not done anything wrong ......may be your real value in the market is 7 lac/yr and your current employer is not capable to give you. If you are not able for 9 lac/yr than HR person should not hire you.... but if you are worthy enough than why anyone should bother that what you were getting in earlier company.....all d best....but dont do it next time.... law of attraction is not always correct but it works....

Surlly you will be getting into the trouble in future. Most of the companies will ask you to submit the bank statement if the need for Back ground check.
So Please dont try to get into the trouble which will spoile your future

To provide false information, about you, is definitely an offence. Because the information provided by you is believed in general while negotiating the employment. In your case you have prepared a fake pay slip [CTC], for which your earlier employer may take serious objection and cognizance. Better you approach your earst while employer and tell him the fact so that he will not go further to disturb your career. jagadish kamath

Fudging the data is not good thing. Ideally your new organization will offer a salary using internal parity, 'supply and demand' factor for your skills and your own competency. This is what i suggest.
If you are working in IT organization, now a days most of the companies do employement verification. There are fair chances that you will be fired as soon as you are caught.
1.Go back to your new organization and explain your salary is only 4.5 lakhs but not 7 lakhs as you mentioned in the interview. Tender apology and negotiate for 9 lakhs. This requires lot of courage and contemplation from you to do.
2. Simply accept the other offer (7 lakhs) which you did ethically right and live royally.
