Dear Shimit,
HR plays a pivotal role in this time they need to get the policies tightened & also counsell the staff about keeping the organizational climate conducive bcz at times apart from monetary the organizational climate will infulence the associates & they feel proud that they atleast a part of the esteem orgn & will not feel low.
Indirectly this would lead higher productivty & level concentration would definitely go up.

its gud that ur doing the project with ur own intt. but wen u choosing the area it should be specific wat u want in project by just saying u want out of box idea ,its quit difficult approach . well in my point of view u should consider many things like
  1. job stress level in current scenario
  2. human resource planning
  3. performance appraisal
  4. career & succession planning
  5. HRD
  6. health and safety
  7. team work.

HR in recession has a long role to play. first of all, it's employee empowerment and engagement. this is the most neglected issue as most of the companies are in the process of downsizing but only these two strategies are like escape boat to them as companies can identify the loyal and promising employees.
