Yes Sajid

I remember in my first job I was not issued an experience letter and I was working with an NGO as a district head. My senior suggested that since you work closely with the District Collector so you get an experience letter from him. I was told from the beginning of our training that we need to maintain good terms with the key govt. officials since the project was a joint venture of govt. and NGO. So I went to the Collector and told him I am serving my last week of work and it will be nice if he could give me a lettter stating from dt to dt I worked in the capacity of....and I was responsible for...etc.

That letter from the Gazetted officer was the proof of my experience with that NGO. So sometimes people have to find out ways of proving their existence in the company.

Now a days since salary is credited to the bank account so that is also a good proof of how much salary drawn + your existence in the company. It is always a good idea to receive the salary in only one bank account.

During interviews candidates claim they are paid 35K per month,I ask can you produce the proof, they will produce a fake salary slip. But I insist can I see the bank statement in which your salary for last six months is reflecting and they say - I am paid in cash / I have 2-3 accounts in which I receive salary / I am paid half in cash and half as cheque. So you know what not to do with a prospective employer...

Thanks

Hi,
Salary in cheque is as good as crediting salary directly to your bank account. Make sure you always deposit this cheque in the same bank account and around the same time every month. So when you take a 6 months bank statement it shows every month the same amount of money being deposited by cheque issued from your company. So in future you need not take bank statement of all the accounts where you might have deposited your salary cheques.
Everyday you go and sit in the HR department ,never give up and insist on getting the appointment letter. It will definitely work in your way. You say you are not going back to work without the appointment letter. Set a date or time within 2 days to have it in hand. You need the job and employer needs employee. So insist on what is due to you professionally.
Thanks

Hello Pradeep,
Normally offer letter/ appointment letter is required to join a professionally managed company. But I heard that in some unprofessional companies, they give offers verbally and employees join.
You can definitely prepare the appointment letters or offer letters in a letter head and get it signed from your boss. That is valid. We can do this only if you have relationship with your boss. And the boss would allow you to prepare such documents only he trusts you.
It is always better to have an offer letter/ Appointment letter before joining a new company to avoid confusions or problems later. These documents have legal validity and it makes everything transparent.

Issueing of a cheque is an evidence for an employee, you should keep records of all cheque and see in the last closing month whether they are deducting tax or tds.

After issuing of cheque and continue job for one year is consider as a permanent employee of the company.

Also investigate about the company background whether they are covered under shopd & establishment & factory Act,this matter also keep in mind.

Geeeta Has explain in well manner about the evidence, one you got your salary cheque then it is an evidence of employment.

Like other getting mobile connection ,becuase as per the mobile commnucation act ,eligible candidate must have proof of employment and issue a letter to service provider to avail a connection ,the signing by top manager also evidence for working in the industry or company, any communication with Govt department regarding sending communication letter to the labour dept/PF/ESI or electrical, civil to ask any queries ,definately you will get your answer lettle late but you should get it on your name, this is an proof.

Getting appoinment letter is not evidence of continuing servicing in the organisation,if suppose you have got appointment letter and you are getting your salary by cash and you have no written records anywhere, then they can say yes we issue an appointment letter for joining but he/she did't come to the factory/company and we have rejected his employement at the same time.

Hi,
A person should join any organization only after receiving/getting appointing letter/offer. If he joins without offer, it is his risk.
Further, it is advisible that every organization should prepare its draft appointment offer. Every new appointee should be given the same letter in order to maintain uniformity.
Such appointment offer letter should cover all important terms & conditions of appointment.
Thanks.
