Hi shijit, Whether u r saying EL amount is processed after one year or EL eligibility start after one year? As per act for EL, if one person completed his 180 working days, he is eligible for EL.

- Casual Leave (C. L.) -------- 7 Days in a year

I need some clarification regarding leave policy. My question is below:
How many days it will be count if I take leave in Thursday or Sunday? We have two day off (Friday and Saturday) in weekend.

Hi Yousuf,
These offs will be called sandwitched offs and they will be counted as leaves and not weekly offs. To avoid these sandwitched offs, you must be either present on the previous day (from your week offs) or the next day (from your week offs)

I have a small query regarding the sandwitched off's that u were refering to ... if in case an employee takes leaves from Mon to Fri, sat - sun are their weekly off's. He will be back on monday again... so should we be considering the weekly off's as Leave or should we not. Please clarify

Generally companies follow the establishment act of that particular state. Leaves can be categoriesed into three 1) cl 2) sl 3) el each 12+12+12 respectively. Sl may be replaced with ESI. If the salary is beyond Rs.10000/-monthly slab sl may applied. EL is applicable only after continuous working for a minimum period of 240 days. National Holidays and festival holdidays 4+6 and weekly holidays are called paid holidays or leave with wages. For ladies there is maternity leave which varies from state to state. But generally what the companies follow is the method of accrual. This is because practically no employees are allowed to take ELs before they complete 6 months with the organization.
Till then they keep on accruing the leaves after every completed month of their service.

- Business Travel leave: each employee can take this leave during their business related travel. there is no limitation.
- compensatory leave: if any employee is working in company holidays then they can register for this leave
- Earned leave: employees will get 12 leaves in a calendar year
- Flexible leave: employees will get 2 leave in a calendar year
- Joining leave: if an employee is joining back from onsite (we are US based company) then they can take one day joining leave
- Maternity leave: All women employees will get 90 days ML.
- Misscarriage leave: 45 days
- Restrcted holiday: In our organization we are fixing 4 days as RH as this is depends on employees choice which date he/she needs to take leave. From this 4 they can avail only one RH
- Sick leave: In a calendar year we are providing 6 sick leaves
- Travel leave: This is based on travel hours. If any employee is travelling below 24 hours they will get one day travel leave and if its above 24 hrs then they will get 3 days travel leave in a calendar year.
