Hi All,
Please give in your views about the Employee Communication through SMS is a good avenue to deploy or the Conventional Email system is the one to follow.
As per my thinking in the next generation to come mobiles are more accessible and will give a more personalized touch to the Communication.
Please feel free to give in your views !!!!!!!

Hi,
Eventhough mobile communication might be prominent in all fields, its not right to communicate thru SMS's to or between employees. This is because sometimes we might need to track the history of a particular conversation which cant be done using Mobiles. There are so many other practical difficulties. This is my view.

i agree with jayasree.... any official interaction should be done through emails. this will help in keeping a track of every details and even one cannot deny.... for sms one can might say he/she has not received it or might say it got deleted wrongly before i could read it....lot many......sms can be useful for instantconveying of message but must mail the details for future use....
this is all that i feel.....

Hi Shri,
I too agree with both Sohini and Jayashree, since you cant keep record of things it is always good that you use Emails which will help you to make others understand the message clearly. Hope you will agree with me..................

Hi Amith, Sohini & Jayshree...Thanks for your opinion.
Suppose there is a online tool which is used for pushing SMSs, maintaining database of recepients, enables sheduling of messages....and lot many things.
Of Course....it should not be used for individual communication (official), but for some kind of mass communication, urgent notices, for your Sales & Marketing or any other field operations team who do not have access to Emails all the time, Some kind of Corporate achievements, for some Motivational Quotes in the Morning...etc
I think for these mentioned activities Mobile SMS is also a good avenue.
waiting for your views on this.

Dear You are right, its a very good idea which has been utilised by most of the companies now & proving too fast & economical. Regards, N Jandial Mob: 9316062008

in that case it can be done......but still.... i suppose the executives are leaving from office for their appointments, try to finish off with all data interaction then only... rather waitng for him to leave the office..... for motivational quotes you can obviously write them on the board where u people discuss your marketing strategies....or on the notice board which is very much easily visible to all the employees.......

Hi,
For the above said purposes a concern can make use of a internal chat system. Every employee can have a separate id and password and this can be made instead of mobile SMS's.
Awaiting comments.

Hi Jayashree & Sohini,
Hope you are doing good....
I never underestimate the importance of Emails or Internal Chat engines...I just want to convey that whether SMSs can also act as one of the instant tool to get in touch with your employees....and I have mentioned its many other features on what all avenues we can deploy it....its not only catering to the IT sector or ITES sector, but various sectors where all the emloyess dont sit in front of the system all the time...many other companies like Pharma, Manufacturing, Advertising, Media, to name a few industries where we can deploy SMS based services for employee communication....
Awaiting your response !!!!!

yes any communication in the offical environment should be through emails rather than SMS. I feel mobile is bit a personal thing, whereas emails (official). By forwarding SMS we cannot be professional, that personal touch is there, which i feel not always required.
All the best !!!
