Hi,
Our company is planning to introduce the transportation facility for employees.
Is there any policy (or terms & conditions) for employees to use company transportation facility considering the related possible issues like; i.e., if bus reaches office late or if employee seats late due to any office work etc...
Also, presently we have flexi office time, do we need to change it to fixed office time
Requesting your views.

A sfar I Know,
of course you will have to male your office timings fix, as you are using Bus as a mode of transport.
if it had been a cars then you can rely on flexi working hours.
also arrange the bus pick and drop timing after considering the avg in and out time of employees, it will help for proper management.

Just thought of scribing on your query...with some views! Also ur question doesn't seem to be structured enough for a complete resolution in terms of why your company wants to provide pick & drop or conveyance as such?

Point 1 - Instead of paying conveyance in hand of Rs. 800/- PM and Annual Rs. 96000/- PA would this be profitable for your company to pay employees in some other heading and cost effective to provide subsidized (Fully or Partially) to employees?

Point 2 - Do you have shift based work timings? Is reaching in time and releasing emp in time saves costs in terms of loss of business, revenue, SLA or deliverable services? OR in case of overtime or delay your company needs to pay OVERTIME CHARGES etc.??

Point 3 - Also just to give a heads up, plz don't compare to BPOs as they have the above mentioned parameters..................ALSO FOR EVERYONE'S INFO JUST RE-ITERATING THE FACT THAT BPOs DON'T PROVIDE FOR CHARITY OR AS ONLY EMPLOYEE BENEFIT...................BUT........to maintain WORK SCHEDULING AND ENSURE EMPLOYEES REACH IN TIME AND ACCORDINGLY THEY SCHEDULE CALL FLOW & SLA .........should this have been personal conveyance at different hours and people to be allowed to come on their own, 100 people would have 100 reasons for DELAY.....and 1000 to have FOOD issues, safety issues & so on and so forth.

Point 4 - Last but not the least................in case your employees have to stretch to LONG HOURS or BEYOND NORMAL TIMINGS..say post 9.00 pm for FEMALE EMPLOYEES during MONTH END etc than that could be a TEMPORARY SOLUTION for those days/week or PROJECT.
