Hi Raja, No any specific topic in Factory Act but regulates through "Induatrial Employment Standing Orders Act". Generally speaking, its obligation for employer to issue wage slip 2 days before the disbursement on or before 7th of every month ,if 100 workers otherwise upto 10th. Regards Sidheshwar

Dear Sidheswar, Thanks for the clarification. I would request you to please quote the particular section in the standing orders Act which requires management to issue wage slips. One more doubt. There are factories which do not employ 100 or more people and to which the Standing orders Act is not applicable. Which other legal provision can we quote for them (factories where less than 100 workers are working) to issue wage slips to workers. Thanks for the support. Best regards, Raja G

Dear Raja, As per section 18 (maintenance of return,registers and records) under Minimum wages Act, its obligatory for employer to issue wage books or wage slips to the employee, if required by govt, and make authenticated entries therin. Dear Mr. Sidheswar In order to know the salary, Wage slip is required for any workers / executives. Factories Act ======== Is it obligatory for employer to issue wage slip two days before the salary disbursement i.e. 7th (if the number of workers < 1000). But it is not mentioned in standing orders. hi frends, \ in the register of wages (form xvii) there are four main columns given (1) basic wages (2) DA (3) overtimem and (4) other cash payments. my question is whether the column mentioned as 'other cash payments' shall be treated as pert of minimum wages or only basic and DA is considered as min wage. pls clarify regards, shailendra singh Sr. Officer (HR) PSU
