Encouragement/motivation Letters

Show others that you care. Express sincere support and help others to accomplish great things with well-written, thoughtful letters of encouragement.

Encouragement letters can have a very powerful effect on others.

With encouragement letters you can:

Lend support or reassurance after a disappointment or setback.

Encourage or motivate someone to keep up the good work.

Motivate a coworker or employee to achieve even greater accomplishments.

Suggest to someone that he or she try something new or pursue a new opportunity.

Encourage a person to increase sales or decrease overhead, etc.

Advocate legislation.

6 Tips for Writing Encouragement Letters:

When writing letters of encouragement, keep the tone positive, and focus on what has been or can be achieved. Avoid direct or implied criticism.

Encouragement is most needed after a disappointment or setback, and written encouragement can be very powerful in these circumstances. It gives the reader something to keep, share, and review.

Demonstrate a tone of genuine appreciation in your encouragement letter.

Be careful to avoid strong language that might discourage readers.

Offer your reader help if assistance is appropriate and genuinely available.

A good time to encourage your reader is after he or she has successfully completed a task. The written word has a motivational power that casual comments do not have, and a positive letter can motivate the reader to even higher standards of excellence.

Hi,

As stated earlier by fayeg that there are several occasions where in one can motivate the other person. One has to draft it based on the situation.

Here, I wish to provide you a small real life example so that you people can visualize what could be the contents of a Motivation Letter.

Situation goes like this. Among many people working in an organization one Mr. ABC comes across an interesting article on net which he thinks, his Top Boss, sitting abroad, may like and sends it with a confused feeling if his boss really will like it.

Since this was the first email of this kind his boss had ever received from him, his boss could sense the sender's possible feelings and he had acknowledged his mail as follows:

ABC,

First and foremost, I must thank you for thinking of me! This article is MAGNIFICENT!!! I truly enjoyed reading it this morning.

It is an incredible story that literally gave me goose bumps. Where did you find this story? Are there any more like this?

Please do send them to me on a regular basis, if it’s possible. Or, just let me know where you found this, so I can search them myself.

Thanks again,

Here the overseas boss wanted to encourage his team members to read new things and to enrich themselves with knowledge and new ideas.

Philip
