OBJECTIVES:

The purpose of this position is to design and execute a talent

management and succession planning process that supports the goal of

advancing the talent of the organization as a critical driver to

accomplishing business goals. The Manager, Talent Planning will also

design and implement career development strategies that cross the

entire organization and ensure that employees have the knowledge and

tools to assess, plan and grow their careers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Design and facilitate Talent Review and Succession Planning

processes that identify high potential employees and create high

quality development plans.

• Coordinate the annual Strategic Goal Alignment and Execution

(SGA&E) process to create corporate annual goals for TPNA and

communicate them to employees.

• Manage Executive Coaching so competent external coaches are

selected and matched to appropriate assignments and measured for

performance.

• Coach managers and employees in effective individual

development planning.

• Evaluate and align Takeda's Performance Management system to

support business objectives and monitor effectiveness.

• Create a Career Development process that provides the

knowledge and tools to guide Takeda employees in their skill

development and careers.

• Train managers and employees in career development processes

such as career paths, job rotations and mentoring programs

• Work effectively with executive leadership to gain their

support and implementation of talent planning and development

systems.

• Manage the development of information systems that support

talent reviews, succession planning and career development.

• Produce Talent Planning metrics to measure the success of

talent planning in client organizations.

• Measure the success of talent management, succession

planning and career development systems.

• Select outside vendors and consultants to provide

specialized knowledge and services.

• Collaborate with HR Generalists, Mgr., Talent Development

and Senior Mgr., Talent Acquisition to create a talent management

strategy and to build cohesion and synergy across the teams.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Organizational or Behavioral

Science, Human Resources or other related field is required.

• Masters degree in Organization Development preferred

• Eight years progressively responsible experience in

Organization Development or Human Resources required

• Expertise in consulting and coaching at executive level

• Experience implementing talent/succession planning

initiatives

• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Certificate from accredited International Coach Federation

Coach Training Program is desired

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings or client

sites, including overnight trips. Some international travel may be

required.

• Requires approximately 10 % travel.
