I am from Event Management Indus. It is observed that employees are very indiscipline in my organization.
Even after shooting mails on there behavior least improvement is noticed.
Indiscipline behavior like:
Often Late comings
Misusing of the office property
Cracking jokes and playing pranks with Colleagues.
Memo`s are forwaded regularly to all the employees but it seems that they are of no imp.
Please help me how to make employees understand?[/i]

You must define discipline. What is discipline in amanufacturing facility may not necessarily be a standard in Software evelopment and What is required in Software need not necessarily be applicable in a Call centre and What is applicable in these places may not be applicable to event Management
You muyst have a broad idea about discipline

I would also suggest that you mention the set of people working in your Org. as in the approx age group so that it is easier to handle them and find ways out.
As i believe each set of age group has to be handled with different tactics

Dear bijal,
memo only not a corrective action. in my experience, kindly give the leader post to them not in designation.
you formed a leaders in each department and gives their roles like,
1. observing the late coming employees.
2. property safety
3. indiscipline movements.
if you are giving the leadership to the indiscipline employees. they are encouraging themselves and they are corrected themselves without any problems for you.

Late coming upto what time?
is there any rule? Do they work late evenings and go late If so then you can not make a big issue
Misusing companys property... can you be specific
Mobile Computers, vehicles what are the companys properties they misuse In fact if companys propeerty is misused then you must dismiss them But your definition of companys propery must be understood correctly Playing games in computer may not be a msuse When you say misuse, they must gain out of the use.
Pl elaborate
I do not use the word indiscipline at all. There is nothing called indispline. The behaviour ia not desirable and hence we need to correct these behaviours.

Do u have a attendance and leave policy? Does your HR manual/ Handbook talks about the discipline of the organisation. If yes please circulate them/ Otherwise come out with these policies...
