I would like to know which is the official font that is used for official letters, reports, and presentations. Also official font for mails to clients, candidates and top management.

but, i have heard people saying Verdana 10 to be used for internal mails in office and Verdana 11 to be used for outgoing mails from your official ids
Guys, how ever let em know if you get any other information on the same

I also got the news that "verdana" is the official font. But there is no such mandate that this the official font to be used.

There is no official fonts except a few mostly used and preferred by a large number of professionals.
There are certain standards for each of the big corporates where someone makes it mandatory to use the similar types of fonts by all of its employees, but this is not compulsory to be happening in all corporates and also in some universities globally it was found that they give a standard format for submittal of assignments, thesis, dissertations and research work to students.
So instead of saying there is no standard font we can say that it depends upon the company you work or the university you study. You have to inquire someone in your organization to help you with this issue.
