Can we have a debate on the topic "if male recruiters are easily impressed by female candiates ?" ( for whatever reason )
From India, Pune
These are Just an assumptions that we hold in our minds. If a female candidate gets selected over a male candidate ( for a HR post), then it depends on the nature of the job/task that is Required. sometimes its the psychological and organizational FIT the employer predicts and assesses.
The statement made can be stated as a Attribution to someones "FAILURE".
The truth is nobody ever knows except the employer who chooses as to what variables play at the time of Recruitment and what specific skill setsare they looking at ?
The myth and also the major practice of preferring a female candidate for a HR post is because it it belived that female is of serving nature so the post may suit that specie better! All the functions of the HR are serving/maintainence in nature ( by and large)!
My statements are open to discussions and crique!
Cherrs!

We have a resonable doubt in the above mentioned highlighted word. If nobody knows, then there is a scope for doubt and assumptions.

Hello Pronoy!!
I think women folk have certain advantages in this profession. Beacuse they stick longer in one organizaion in comparison to male fraternity.
There are some more advantages a woman posseses........ :D
There is no question of failure. If you have ever appeared for interviews you will understand in the final round. Apti, GD one can clear, doen nt matter whether you are a guy or a gal. But PI s does matter.

wel again DO u guys really think that organization chooses a person becuase of some x-factors...then i guess this is a total fantasy of a bollywood film, however i dont understand why would an org invest so much resource and time if there is no valid value addition.

Mr. Pronoy and Pallab !!
There is a difference between Bollywood and Hollywood.....The kind of roles offered to a fresh HR guy is.. well you are intelligent enough to understand.
So why no a good looking, socially presentable fella????

It depends upon the roles and responsibilities to handle, but gender wont be a problem in acquiring a position

sorry to reply so late but this just came to my scanner that Women employees are more suitable...i am persistent in this statement because the role suits them because of their service Nature...From very beginning of the earth ...form the time we exist we have seen women in serving role like:- Mother to Father/son/Family( client)
Nurse- to patients( client)
Teacher to students( client)
Wife to Husband...
I guess the following are enough examples of our day to day lives that we fail to observe and interpret.Think about the levels in the orgnaization Hr is mainly into support function, Admin, receptionist, private secretary ( All of them serving kind) and therefore as per corporate goes woman serves the best as it does not require any decison making or mind racking!

Pronoy.

Dear All
I do respect all your views. But along with that i would like to share real scenerio. As per today's scenerio, organizations are more conscious about cost cutting policies. For the same reason, organizations started altering HR and branch ratio. Like previously it was 1HR:1branch/2branches. But today they are heading towards 1HR:3-5branches and hence expect mobility and hence prefer male candidate as it will be bit travelling profile.
So time is changing. Coming times HR will be male dominated field.
