Hi,
I am doing a project on exit interviews in BPO Sector. The main objective of my prject is to undestand whether exit interviews really matters or it is a mere formality.
I plan to study the various HR policy changes brought out by the organisations on the basis of the data collected from the exit interviews.
Kindly give me suggestions regarding how I should proceed with my project.
Thanks,
Ligy Jose

Hi,
Exit interviews are just not a mere formality, but it's a process to understand a person's response towards the company policies, procedures and work atmosphere. Exit interview is partly responsible to reduce attrition in any company b'coz only in that process a person will come out with valuable comments and suggestions and also his problems can be tackled.
Once exit interview is thru, then one self should table the details and analyze the factors responsible for the person to quit. When u collect details of few or many employees then u can definitely come out with lot of loop holes which makes an employee uncomfortable to work. So then u could make use of this analysis and frame new policies or amend few existing policies so as to make it employee friendly.
Exit interview shouldn't end at the same time, it's reports and analysis should be taken to a team in the management and then they can discuss about the outcome and come out with the required solutions.
I think this should be useful to u for some extent.........
if u wanna know something more, pls feel free to mail me (bob_5979@yahoo.co.in)
