Marking Exit date for an old company which is closed - need to visit the PF office personally for this?


Hi everyone, I had my first job 10 years ago, and the company is closed now, and they forgot to update my date of exit. I cannot mark this as there has been no contribution from that for 8 years. I've read that I need to visit the PF office personally for this. But I'm in Bangalore, and my old job was in Pune (so Pune PF office). Anyway, I can avoid travelling to Pune to mark my exit date. Can any of you help me with this?

Hi, You can put exit date your own by login through member https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in

No, you can update only upto 2-3 years after leaving the company(from the last pf payment was done to the account)
