If the Gross salary of the employee exceeds Rs.21000/- then ESIC will not be applicable.
Please note that if the Gross salary of an employee exceeds Rs.21,000 after April or October for the respective contribution periods, then the employee continues to contribute to ESI till the end of that contribution period.
