Can anyone provide me the CTC structure for Pvt ltd company with CTC of 5 lakh And will HRA be added when one is working work from home?
From India, Patna
Hi,
Creating a CTC structure involves breaking down the total compensation into various components. The exact structure can vary between companies, and this is just a generic example. Ensure that you consult with your company's HR department to get the accurate breakdown. Here's an example CTC structure for a Pvt Ltd company with a CTC of 5 lakh:

Basic Salary: 40% of CTC (Rs. 2,00,000)

House Rent Allowance (HRA): 50% of Basic (Rs. 1,00,000)

Special Allowances: 20% of Basic (Rs. 40,000)

Provident Fund (PF): 12% of Basic (Rs. 24,000)

Gratuity: 4.81% of Basic (Rs. 9,620)

Bonus/Incentives: 5% of CTC (Rs. 25,000)

Medical Allowance: Fixed amount or reimbursement (e.g., Rs. 15,000)

Conveyance Allowance: Fixed amount (e.g., Rs. 10,000)

Leave Travel Allowance (LTA): Fixed amount or reimbursement (e.g., Rs. 10,000)

Keep in mind that these percentages are just for illustrative purposes and may vary based on company policies and industry standards. Additionally, some companies may include other components such as performance bonuses, stock options, or other allowances.

If your company provides allowances specifically for work-from-home expenses, it should be listed separately. It's crucial to review your employment contract and communicate with the HR department to understand the specifics of your CTC structure and the associated benefits.

The question is whether HRA can be a part of salary when the employee is working from home, right? Yes. Because for the purpose of working, it is presumed that, he has taken a house on lease and he should be compensated for that. Right, if your salary contains an element called Conveyance/ Travelling allowance, the same can be questioned and treated as part of Basic salary.

Now coming to the percentages, there is no law which says that the various components should be in these percentages. Even if you keep these components bifurcated, for all legal aspects like payment of gratuity, the salary should mean the sum of the amount as per the contract of employment and not just Basic salary alone.
