Dear Sir, Please confirm that one of our employees has left his job. As we have to update his exit in PF. there is some confusion regarding his exit date. Because as per ECR their contribution was deposited till 28-02-2021 (EPF & EPS both). As per EPS, his exit is 10-04-2021 as he was 58 years old. So I have a question that I have to update 2 exit dates as per ECR and EPS or any One?

Please give your valuable information for this.

Thanks in Advance

That means there was a non contributory period of one month and a few days, right? If the employee was not in service in March and part of April, why was his contributions not paid for these days? If he was not in service, why don't you exit him on 28-2-2021? Was the employed in some other organisation after leaving your organisation on 28th Feb? If not, you can mark the date of exit from PF also at 10-4-2021 treating the days between 1st March and April 10th as absent for which no salary was paid.

Dear Madhu T K sir,

He was not in service in Mar-21 that's why contribution was not deposited and for April-21, but he joined another company on 12-Apr-2021 due to which it was not updated at that time. So may I proceed his exit by 10-04-2021.

If you are putting 10th April as exit date, you should have the record that he was in service with you but was absent without leave. There should be his name available in the ECR that you filed in in April 21, in respect of the wage month, March 21. Please check. Can you confirm one more thing, whether the date of exit given for EPS was auto generated or was it initiated by you? If it is auto generated, then you can even exit him on 28th Feb itself.

Dear Madhu T K sir, In Mar-21 ECR 31 days were NCP mentioned but in Apr 21 ECR name not mentioned as NCP days. moreover date of exit given for EPS was auto generated in portal. Regards R.K. Chauhan

Ok, then can put any date in April 21. It need not necessarily be the date of retirement since the date of retirement in EPS is auto generated.
