Hello Professionals, Greetings!

I was working with one of the Airlines company of a Wadia Group. I left my Job in December 2022.

I have one query that "what is Immediate Previous CTC?"
Reason for this query is:-

I was issued an Appraisal Letter on 1st April 2019 for appraisal for the FY 2019-20 which includes PLI @ 10% of CTC.
In the March 2020 Covid affected whole corporate. Due reason our salary was reduced to 10% - 30% of our CTC as per our grade but no any official communication is done by an employer to me.

In April 2021, one more new Competitor has entered in Airlines Business - Akasa Airlines. Akasa has started hiring our staff also. Just to stop the out going staff from our company, Management issued us the Salary Revision Letter on 1st November 2021 with increase Appraise of Salary but with the verbal Threat of Job that accept immediately or leave the Job immediately and After Acceptance of Salary revision letter, A one can not resign before 12 months. If any one is resigning before the completion of 12 months period than INCREMENT AMOUNT WILL BE RECOVERED.

There were 2 different Appraisal Letters issued. 1 on 1st April 2019 and 2nd on 1st November 2021 with clear CTC in b & W. Salary was reduced from April 20 but there was no any Salary revision Letter issued AND SALARY WAS REDUCED IN BETWEEN PERIOD FOR THE SAME.

Hi,

Immediate Previous CTC should refer to your last drawn CTC which was officially communicated to you in writing. No industry was exception to pay cut during covid pandemic. Obviously Employer will also be not able to pay proper salary when revenue is down drastically. However most of the Organizations had communicated to the employees about the same though not individually but through common circular. 3 or 6 months increment reversal clause is very common in IT industry but one year seems bit on the higher side.. It is just a act of safeguarding employees but instead of doing this way they could have tried other options like Retention Bonus / performance based Bonus etc.
