A employee has been taken weekly off after every 6 consequtive working days. A festival holiday falls on the weekly off. We are showing PH in attendance rolls on week off day. Can we give compensated on behalf of weekly off. Please clarify.

Question does not arise to give another compensatory off. In most of the organizations Paid Festival Holidays are determined by the organization and where ever there is Union - in consultation with Union. Usually Paid Festival Holidays are determined avoiding the weekly off. There are organizations where Paid Festival Holidays are determined by NI Act and in those cases any Paid Festival Holiday falls on weekly off day - nothing can be done.
