I am working with Thomas Cook in SSC Department for Client DEI as GL Accountant. I had served 1 and half year in this role with all my dedication towards work. I helped my team SSC at the time when there was no one to join this company and whoever is joining was leaving because of DEI's employees worst behavior. I have gud opportunity and now i had resigned from here. My notice period is 45 days but my employer want to buy out 30 days and i want serve only 15 days of Notice period.
In my contract it is clearly written that Buy out option is at Sole discretion of Employer or Business which is DEI.
DEI is not allowing me to relieve in 15 days. I tried all possible way to convince them. If i dont join in 15 days then i will loose this Good opportunity.

Can anyone please help me, how can i get relieved within 15 days? Isn't there any Labor law on this? I searched for everything but of no use and now i am helpless. Our labor law is so weak that employee cannot take any decision in his/her favor. Please help.

Hi,

Adjusting leave in lieu of notice period is purely at the discretion of the employer which you claim is clearly mentioned in the appointment letter. Now though Thomas Cook is willing to accept as Client DEI is not accepting you are not able to get relieved with 15 days notice. Most of the time it depends on the business requirement, volume of work in your hand, your role and responsibilities etc. Better try to negotiate with Client DEI. Give assurance that you will be able to complete the pending work within 15 days. Ultimately they will not bother about your offer but care about their business only which is practical.
