Hi, I worked in a local Medical Retail Store for 1.5 years as a part-time community pharmacist after completion of my B.Pharmacy. I was not given any pay-slips, Form-16, PF etc., as my salary is very less. I used to get INR 5000 (five thousand rupees only) that to cash in hand. That local medical store owner has provided me the experience certificate only.
I also did not file any income tax because my salary is very low.

Later in got admission into good MBA college in 2020 and I got selected for MNC in campus placement. Since I have no salary slips, bank statements as I used to receive salary in cash. I am really worried about the background verification that the MNC will do. Will my experience letter be sufficient? In case, how should I have to prove that I am truthful.

Someone please suggest me what is the appropriate steps that I can take in order to prove that I did not fake anything in my Background verification process.

Rao - Congratulations on making it to a Business school.

BGC verification would depend on a verifiable work experience, irrespective of size and scale of business. Please mention this fact in your background check forms that you have received your salary in cash and it is a local community medical establishment that you have worked for. After your work experience is verified with the owner/ Manager through the experience letter, it should be fine. Do not worry please.

Practical advice - please mention the facts about your employment very very clearly and in full details - so that it may not jeopardize your admission to the Business school.

All the best.
