What change process for a business HR manager can implement in an organization, and can influence stakeholders to accept the ideas.

Dear Khushboo Sharma,

What is the context of your query? Are you a student or a professional? You have raised two posts for your questions. These questions are generally asked in the interview.

To influence the stakeholders, whether by an HR professional or otherwise, it is important to have data at hand. As far as the HR professionals are concerned, they may first obtain the data on the following count and influence to bring the organisational change:

a) Conducting analysis of the employee attrition and recommending the suitable policy changes
b) Conducting a survey of the employee's health and introducing suitable measures
c) Introduction of the automation to reduce the dependence on people
d) Influencing the top management to conduct an "Employee Satisfaction Survey" (ESS) and recommending corrective measures based on the survey results.
e) Keeping the workforce ready for the technological changes that might happen in the future
f) Identifying the star employees and improving their potential

The organisational changes can be brought on several counts. However, much depends on the HR professionals. Their ability to influence depends on how that person is viewed by the top management. Therefore, the foremost requirement for HR professionals is to understand the business and start measuring the ROI of the HR interventions.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
