Hi Friends,

Whether Form-V is mandatory for Contract Labour License Renewal (Karnataka)...? We have Contract agreement for 200 employees, Our Principal employer presently using only 50 labour and denying to give Form-V, giving the reason of reduction of manpower strength. In this case whether we need Form-V after applying for renewal in online, or whether labour department ask the Form-V at the time of issuing the renewed license.

Dear Member,

As per my knowledge Form V is applicable at the time of applying for new licence only.

It is not required in renewal process.

If your contract is for 200 employees and presently you have deployed only 50 employees still as per my opinion you should renew the Licence. Bcoz if you don't renew and during any point of contract period the deployment reach 50 0r more then it will be treated as non compliance under the Act.

The renewal required nominal fees only (of course, the incidental exp. will be extra). But once you don't renew or surrender the licence and in coming period it required again then you have to Pay the Security Deposit and Licence Fees again.

Senior can give more inputs on the matter.
