How can we give a memorable experience to the fresh talent we hired, in order to retain and motivate them?
From India, Noida
Dear Swati,

To give a memorable experience to the freshly hired employees, you may institute a "Formal Mentoring Programme" in your company. Please note that I am saying "Formal Mentoring" and not "Informal Mentoring" or "Buddy Programme".

However, instituting a formal mentoring programme is no easy task. It requires a lot of mechanisms to be developed. Many times, the companies start mentoring programmes but it loses its steam over a period of time because nobody monitors it earnestly.

Formal mentoring will help build a bond between newly joined employees and an organisation. Even if employees quit the company, they continue to talk positively. Creating positive spokespersons of the company is no easy task.

I have been giving replies on the subject of formal mentoring for the last several years. You may click the following links to know more on the subject:

You will find links in the above replies. Go through all the replies patiently. Even to read all the replies, could take a few hours. But then understanding the concept is important. If you decide to institute a "Formal Mentoring Programme" in your company, feel free to contact me.
