We are a company employing over 450 employees and paying ESI and PF for the last 15 years. During August 2020 one of our HR executives, while registering new employees for ESI, wrongly connected the ESI IP Number of New Employee A to another old employee B and this continued for over 5 months without noticing. Employee A met with an accident in Jan 2021 and had a severe head injury is under medical treatment in a private hospital on his parental medicare, as he could not avail of ESI medical facility.
Kindly suggest how we can rectify this, as the ESI branch officer says this has to be discussed with the Delhi office, as the chances are very bleak for any rectification.
