How to continue the employment of technical staff (Engineer) after retirement? We would be settling all dues including gratuity after the retirement date and he will also withdraw his PF. Need to know what to do after that. Once retired can we continue with him as a regular (or new) employee on muster? I assume that PF/Gratuity will not be applicable but leaves/Bonuses would be applicable. Is this correct? Or should we continue as a consultant, in which case TDS would be deductible as per my understanding, which is not preferable for him?
