Hi, Am Sandhya ex-employee of XXXXX worked from 02/01/2012 to 29/12/2018 with good ratings and performance but due to less salary, I have left with intention of rejoining again with a good salary. Actually, during the demonetization period a small amount of 10000rs exchanged for customers in an emergency ( funeral ), that was an issue they notched down the rating that year but due to that issue now they stop rehire also.
How can they justify this during demonetization there are many frauds and scams in crores, because of 10000 rs they stopped rehiring.
Hr in XXXXX is not responsible, they are not even ready to explain what happened and what can be done.
For every problem there will be a solution, I asked any approval required but hr says no such policy.

Dear Sandhya,

It appears that you are without a job. Unemployment increases one's frustration and from your post, it appears that you are no exception.

You have tried joining your past company. Nevertheless, your candidature has been turned down because of some issue that happened during the demonetisation. But then the market is far and wide. Rather than pinning hopes only on the past company, is it not better to explore opportunities beyond the past company? Therefore show patience. We are passing through pandemic and there is a slowdown in hiring. Once the market looks up, the hiring process will start and you will get a job.

If you are unemployed then you may spend time in learning some new skills. When the new skills are learnt, it increases one's confidence. If the requirement of learning a new skill does not come to your mind then at least you can improve your business English. Your post provides evidence of this requirement!

All the best!

Dear Sandhya,

You had left the job on your own volition. The motive was to get a better salary when rehired. However, you feel that the HR of your past company has thrown a spanner in your plan. Being upset at rejoining, now you are blaming HR. However, little do you realise that many times the organisation's policies are made by the top management and HR just executes it. Therefore, why blame HR for being at the forefront of the activity?

You had worked for seven years in the past company which is a long tenure. Possibly you were attached mentally too much to the company. But then please understand that the change is always good. Please remember the famous proverb rolling stone gathers no moss. Let your career's stone roll further so that you can rise. Who knows possibly a far better opportunity may be in store for you. However, please ask a question - are you prepared to avail of that opportunity? If not, start preparing even now also!

All the best!

P. S.: - After joining an HR forum, you have raised a post in which you have called names to the HR professionals. By doing so, inadvertently you have revealed a corner of your personality! Though unknown to you or not having any dealings with you, by just reading your two posts, we the members of the Citehr could gauge at least a streak of your personality. Therefore, what we could do, why the HR professionals of your past company, who might have dealt with you, could not do it? The failure to get rehired could be because of the corners of your personality that you might have revealed to the HRs of your past company!

Hi Sandhya,

I understand what you must be going through. I think cursing HR for company's decision will not help. HR is just representing the HOD or Owner. I see 2 alternatives in this case -

1. Approach your reporting manager whom you used to report and express your desire to re-join and ask him how you can go about it. Sort out misunderstanding or grudges, if any. A word of caution - since you have already left that job, you need to justify why you would like to join them. Rejoining the same company is not that easy as one has to regain and rebuild the confidence in the minds of employer. It should be a responsible decision.

2. As rightly suggested by Divekar Sir, start finding another job - if you focus at it you will get it one day. Aim to upscale yourself with required skills.

All the best!

Dear madam,
You left the organization with an intention to rejoin on better salary. But what made you to believe that the same company will rehire you in the first place and that too on better salary?
You seem to carry a feeling that because of the goof up of "small amount" ( your perception) of Rs 10,000, the company is doing injustice to you in declining to rehire you and therefore, blaming HR.
I think you need to think coolly and appreciate that to hire anybody or not is the choice of the employer and not yours.
In these circumstances, as rightly suggested, make persuasive pitch for rehiring with the powers be in the company rather than getting frustrated at HR.
Besides, if you have fire in your belly and possess required competencies, you may surely land your dream job rather than getting hooked on to this job alone.
You can only hope to succeed and move forward with the push of positive thoughts.
