My brother worked for a Finance company as an executive. In 2017, he resigned and got No dues clearance. After completing all the formalities, he left the company. During his tenure, he financed around 1200+ files. As it turns out around 7 of them are fake or forge and company couldn't recover its money from those costumers. My brother didn't have the authority to pass the finance case on his own, he had to seek approval of the company by its backend team. So each case was approved by its backend team and he merely did the rest of formalities.
Company has charged him for 420, 467, 468 and 471 IPC. He was picked up by police two days ago. The FIR registered against him was dated of a month back. Nobody ever came for any investigation or anything. He is in Dasna jail (Gaziabad, UP) right now. My family is in utter shock and trauma. We have applied for bail in lower court but they are almost locked-down due to pandemic. What should we do, now?

Consult a good criminal lawyer.
Analyse the charges IPC u/s 420 Cheating.Sec467 forgery etc 468, forgery for purpose of cheating, sec471 .
Speak to your brother and ask him to give access to his personal records.
Use RTI to get information.
Courts are still functional through e means.
If required move HC for bail.
Dont loose hope.As such prisons are releasing people due to Corona, try and meet the higher police officials for this.(https://www.livemint.com/news/india/...454201729.html)

Sir,
As per India Today, Jails are to release undertrial inmates after personal bond that will get a interim bail. How do we fill personal bond? In these situations, when everything is locked how do we go about it? Our lawyer has said that he is trying to approach HC but there seems no hope due to lockdown.

Your lawyer would definitely know what to do in urgent cases.
Even if required talk to jail officials for getting some clarifications.

Still Courts, esp, High Courts are hearing and deciding bail matters. The facts posted suggest no easy solutions. Allegations need to be met on their merits.
