Dear All, I have some issues regarding my previous employment. I have served 1 month Notice period as per company policy and even trained my replacement. I have a details signed by my replacement regarding my handover, and even she is satisfied by it. By the Boss is creating the issues regarding the same according to him the pending work list has to be made and signed by me. But all the works are completed. Is it compulsory to prepare pending work list while resignation even if my replacement the one who is going to work further has no issues.Kindly help me with suggestion what needs to be done.

Dear Sonali
If you have served the agreed (as per terms of appointment) notice period and have delivered productive time at work during the notice period, you cant be hold for reason of any pending work. It is unfair and illegal on part of your employer.
Having said this , I will advise to get out of this situation tactfully and wisely as legal remedy if any , would be time consuming and uncertain.

Hi Sonali,
You may be right at the same time not right to think that everything is over once your replacement signs the 'take over report'. As a responsible person in the organisation your boss has got every right to seek a list of pending issues, if any. At the same time I have no clue as to why you should get agitated about it. If everything is completed what's bothering you to prepare a report and saying so. I would suggest, you prepare a list of what are all the assignments you were performing, responsibilities you were shouldering, individually and mention the status on the date of your last working day. If nothing is pending, say so. There you are fulfilling your obligation and rightfully demand the relieving & experience letter. What's reqd. now is amicably get relieved to enable smooth transition. Don't get agitated as if you are unnecessarily troubled. All the best.
