My probation period of 6 months has almost come to the end, 10 days are left. My company is pressurizing me to sign a 2-year bond as they are planning to give me a costly training. Although nothing of this sort was mentioned in my Joining Letter. I don't want to sign this bond.
(1) What should I do?
(2) Can anyone kindly name/mention the legal clauses/acts relevant to my case so that I can go thro' them a little bit and gain some knowledge? It is my humble request.
(3) What are the legal possibilities in my case? What can be done and what cannot be?
This is really an urgent situation and I really need to know what are the next possible steps I or my company can take. Your assistance will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the company is giving costly training, they will try and safeguard their investment by retaining you as an employee.
The company should have been open and clear about their requirements from probationers right from beginning.
Your probation period was for 6 months, when did they tell you about this costly training?
It looks like without signing bond they will not train you and probably look for alternatives.
What is the reluctance to sign the bond?
Legally, there is nothing much which can be done by you in practical terms.

1. They told me about this training at the start of the 5th month.
2. I am planning to pursue higher studies and the bond is of 2 years. This will become a hindrance.
3. I can understand there is nothing much I can do in practical terms here. But I would really appreciate if you can kindly name the clauses/acts relevant to my case. I am not planning to defend myself against the company, I just want to gain some knowledge, that's all.

There is as such no clause and acts by which you can. The only way out is to resign from the job. if you are not feeling secured to sign a bond.
In my suggestion you consult any consultant deal in this field with your appointment letter if some way remain out.
