Can employer deduct salary if the employee has failed to apply for the leave in internal HRM system?

Yes, they can, as salary is calculated on the basis of leave availed or the number of days working if said employee is failed to apply to leave in HRM so for that particular date showing absent. So an employer can deduct the salary.

Yes, however this leave has to be subject to re-consolidation, once he applies has t be taken into to consideration and the wages has to be paid subsequently.
