When i join company they just mention three points in compensation that is :
a. Cost to company Rs.x,xx,xxx/- per annum.
b. Your CTC will be reviewed annually and will come unto effect at the end of one year employment from the date of confirmation.
c. Changes in your compensation are discretionary and will be subject to and on the basis of effective performance and result during the period and other relevant criteria.
Now they are saying under signed CTC contract we are deducting 1800+1800=3600 as PF amount.
Is it right ??? please help.


If you are under CTC pattern, both your monthly subscription & equivalent employer's contribution @ 12% towards EPF are covered being components of 'Cost to Co.' (CTC). On the other hand 'contribution towards gratuity being payable to you only after you complete 5 yrs of service continuously, without a break which is not payable monthly in 'take home pay' but part of CTC. Like wise insurance premium for you, if any, is part of CTC but not payable in 'take home pay'.
If your appointment order lists out CTC and if mentioned as 'subject to revision on the basis of effective performance and result under 'performance review' system and has been accepted by you, you'll have no discretion to dispute them now. You should have studied before accepting what's your 'monthly take home' and the 'annual charges' which are covered under CTC which could have shown the difference between these two sums. Had you done this scrutiny you could have been more clearer about the intricacies involved.
