Kindly let me know the procedure regarding ESIC when the salary is above the ceiling limit @ Rs. 21, 000/- I would be happy to learn the step-wise process.
From India, Lucknow
You can not continue to be in ESI Scheme once your salary exceeds Rs. 21000 p.m. Therefore, enrolment In ESIC after exceeding the ceiling limit 21000/- is not possible.

Dear Mr Joshi, as an Employer you have to cover only Employees drawing Gross Salary of Rs21,000/PM & below under ESI Act.In respect of Employees whose Gross Salary goes beyond Rs21,000/-PM, they become excluded Employees. Please let me know are you an Employee/Employer
However, ESI Covered Employees can continue to maintain their Membership even after crossing Wage ceiling Of Rs21,000/-PM.They have to contact their Local Office to know further details. Please peruse attachments in this connection.Employer has no role in this aspect

Dear Srinath Sai Ram,
I am totally confused with your following say given verbatim:
"However, ESI Covered Employees can continue to maintain their Membership even after crossing Wage ceiling Of Rs21,000/-PM.They have to contact their Local Office to know further details. Please peruse attachments in this connection.
Employer has no role in this aspect"
I am also confused on your attachments which has no relevance to the subject matter.
May I request you to revisit your post and reply with supporting.

From India, Mumbai
esic contribution period is april to sep & oct to march
An employee who crosses the prescribed ceiling limit in any month at any time after commencement
of the contribution period, he/she would continue to be an employee till the end of that contribution
period. The Rule position in this regard is mentioned as under:-
“As per Rule-50 of the Employee's State Insurance (Central) Rule 1950 any employee whose
wages (excluding remuneration for overtime work) exceed (twenty one thousand) rupees a month at any
time after and not before the beginning of the contribution period, shall continue to be an employee
until the end of that period.

Dear Korgaonkar Sir,
For your ready reference, relevant contents of the attachments are mentioned herein, once again
"Other than hiking the wage ceiling, the ESIC board also allowed Employees to continue as embers even after their wages cross the Rs.21,000 threshold. Currently, a worker goes out of the purview of the ESIC, once their Salary Crosses the Wage Ceiling. “This is a good move as older employees need more medical attention and it should be left to the workers to decide if they want to stay with ESIC after their salary crosses the threshold,” Bharadwaj added. (Rama Kant Bharadwaj, vice-president of Laghu Udyog Bharati, a federation of small and medium industries)
Please peruse the attachments once again to get clarity.Employer has no Role in coverage of Employees under ESI Act, consequent to crossing present wage ceiling i.e Rs21,000/-PM
However, ESI Covered Employees can maintain their Membership consequent to crossing ESI Wage Ceiling by paying required Amount themselves in consultation with ESI Local Office
Hope this clarification will suffice

Earlier some time back on similar topic some one advised you that what you are saying was a proposal only. Still you are compelling the members like me to accept your say without any documentary proof.
