A person after serving an organisations for 12 years and quits the service at the age of 40 and withdraws the full PF amount and continues in the pension scheme. Again after some time joins the same organisation . In that case whether the previous service is counted for calculation of eligible service for pension benefits?

Not likely. As the earlier PF account is closed , final accumulation withdrawn and payment of monthly pension commenced. Now he starts back at the same place and again PF & FPS contribution are started. In all probability it would be a new account. So there is no case for counting previous service for PF purposes. But as regards service benefits, it depends on the terms of appointment being issued now. Unless something is specifically mentioned otherwise, for all intents and purposes it is fresh appointment and a new chapter.
