How to divide the driver’s category in an construction company?
From India, Jagdalpur
Dear Dasari,
Your framing of the question confuses people like me. What do you mean actually by " To divide the driver's category in a construction company "? Well, a construction company can have its own trucks to transport construction materials to various construction sites as well as company cars for its top brass like the Managing Director, Chief Engineer, Project Heads etc. In any industry, drivers are normally grouped into skilled category of employees by virtue of the licensing mandate under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Dear Dasari,
Your question does not have any specific meaning than confusion. It is very difficult to answer your confusing question but on self understanding can suggest, may be useful.
In general varoius nature of automatives are being used, are;
1. LCV [ Car, Jeep & others] : Lower
2. Heavy Commercial Vehicles [ Dumpers, Truck, Trailors, Buses : Medium & High
3. Earth Movers [Escavators, Dozzers, Pay-loaders, scappers, JCB, Hydra, Gradders, Millers & Crawler Crane or Tyre mounted cranes] : High
The drivers/ operators of the above are under skilled category. But each category are purely diffrent to each other and their rate of wages also different. In absence of clarity on your qerry, this is best opinion to follow.

We normally look at roles as Critical or Non-critical.... for all levels. Critical roles are those where the business may stop or slow down, if the person occupying the role suddenly decides to leave. Non-critical roles are those, where, if people leave, you can get a dozen candidates. When you specifically look for categorisation (that is not dividing, so please use correct English, wherever required !) of such drivers, they are used invariably as worker category only. They come under Skilled Labour category ie below Supervisory roles. In workmen, you can have two categories ie. Skilled and Unskilled. Drivers come under Skilled Labour category. Within them also, you can have Critical and non-critical roles. Ordinary LCV driver can be in non-critical category whereas a container driver or a driver who uses dump trucks come under Critical role, as you get very limited number of drivers, as it requires exceptional skills to drive HCV plus high-end high caliber requirements.
