We are employer and some of our employees are having wrong name in EPFO data base, so please can anyone tell us the procedure for name correction in EPFO data base. Is it possible to do online at our end.

Now online functionality is available on unified epf portal for correcting basic details of employee. Ask your employee to login with activated UAN at unified member portal. From there they can raise request to modify their basic details like name, dob, gender etc which should be as per aadhar. Then this request will we forwarded to employer for apporval. After approval by employer it will go to EPF field office where they will correct the desired details of employee.
