As per the new Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill 2017, However, provision on crèche facility (Section 11 A) shall be effective from July 01, 2017. Wherein it says the Maternity Benefit Amendment Act makes crèche facility mandatory for every establishment employing 50 or more employees. Women employees would be permitted to visit the crèche 4 times during the day.
I had a query to understand if 50 stands for one division or in total for an organisation. As we are an MNC with two division at Gurgaon and Bangalore having 18 employees at one location and 33 at the other.
