Hi,
I am working in a Bangladeshi Satellite TV Channel named BanglaVision. In our organization employees are entitled for annual leave as follws:
CL = 10 Days
SL = 14 Days
EL = 16 Days (w.e.f. confirmation date)
I want to know that Employees on Probation Period are eligible or not to get the CL & SL on the same? In my organization there is no specification about this.
Looking for your valuable comments.

Leave policies prevailing in organisations vary from one to another. In PSUs (Public sector undertakings) generally leave entitlement is different only in case of trainees. But the probationers, who are generally kept on a probation period of on eyear, are given the same leave credit as is given to other confirmed employees. Sometimes a graded leave credit is given according to length of service as per different slabs.

Hi,
It depends on the company's HR Policy as per the rules employees under probabtion are avail to take only 1 leave everymonth and more than one will be on LOP and in special cases like hospitalised they will have to provide the supporting documents for the same.

Leave policy varies from organization to organization. As per statutory requirement employer are only required to give earned leave, one leave for every 20 days worked (minimum). But in general it is in practice by employer to give more and also SL & CL in addition.

Dear Saif Assalamo Alikum
This depends on the INTERNAL LAWS of organization. First of all you should check the Labour Laws of Your Country and secondly check that which kind of people are convered by these Laws. Our Country's Labour Laws covers only the persons who are called as "WORKMEN" others are convered by the Appointment Letter which is issued by the employer.
as u have stated that your organization has rules regarding the number of paid leaves so just check that from where your company has made this rule.
If there is no regulation in this regard then just make a policy named as Leave Policy and explain the reles & regulations in detail. You can consult the market of your nearer areas but your policy should not break the regulations of Labour Laws of your land in workers case. For Supervisors & Above you can make rules with the consultation of your top management that whether during probation employees will be allowed such leaves or not. you can say this is at the discreation of the management.
But if you allow your employees during probation then this will not broke the regulation/s of any law.
Hope the all will be sufficient in this topic.
