Hi, Sneha this side . I would like to understand the process of monthly PF calculation on basics . I want to understand how do we calculate deduction of pf from both employee and employer's end . This query I have raised is from the prospective that in case if have to handle PF process end to end so in that case how can I calculate monthly PF deduction of employees in excel.

Dear Sneha,
You can deduct PF on the basic salary. 12% is employee's share which is deducted from Gross salary of employee and 12% is of employer's share which should not be shown in salary slip but it is considered as part of CTC. Apart from this, employer also has to bear 1.15% total basic salary as admin charges which is only shown in PF Challan. If you're preparing challan by yourself then you've to consider this charges also. If you don't have any format then try to prepare a format by your own understanding and then share with me and if required I'll make necessary changes.

How to we calculate actual amount of PF as per given bellow Salary Structure :-
Basic............Rs.9000/-
TA ...............Rs.3000/-
HRA.............Rs.4000/-
Other Perks.Rs. 4000/-
Total Salary Rs.20000/-
Kindly specified Employee and Employer Contribution with effective rates if joining date before 1-9-14 or after 1-9-2014 and also clarify that have any role of minimum wages also to calculate PF.
