An employee joined on 05th july 17 and left on 14th july 17 by sending resignation mail from home.
We processed salary (by holding) for July 17 with 10 days salary. Should we prepare full and final also to complete compliance!
Please advice !

The newly appointed employee has actually worked for 10 days only and submitted resignation through mail. It is not clear whether you've accepted his resignation. Similarly it is also not known with holding of his salary for his duty period is simply for the reason of return of the management's property,if any in his possession or for non-compliance of notice condition, if any already stipulated.
If the resignation is acceptable by waiving notice condition, he is not entitled to anything other than his duty salary for 10 days.
Therefore, the decision lies with the management using its discretion.

Dear Umakanthan
firstly understand your appointment letter, what it says
whether there is a provision of notice period or not ,
secondly the how many days notice period is mentioned before the confirmation
if it is, go for the legalally action otherwise pay the 10 days of wages to him

Dear Umakanthan, please refer the appointment letter, if there is no provision for notice period in the appointment letter, then pay for 10 days worked.
