Dear Member,

Under Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970, the contractor is required to submit Half Yearly Labour Return in duplicate for the periods (01st Jan to 30th June) & (01st Jul to 31st Dec). Whereas the Principal Employer need to submit Annual Return for the year. The Return need to be submitted within 30 days of ending the period. The PE need to obtain RC (Registration Certificate) and the contractor need to obtain the Labour Licence from the concerned DLC office.

In the Return both (The PE and the Contractor) need to furnish data in r/o personnel deployed at site. If as a prime contractor, you deployed sub-contractor/s and there personnel are also included in your Labour Licence, than you need to cover their data as well in the Return.

Pls find attached format of the Return/s. Also find format which will help you, if you have deployed sub-contractor/s. You can use the data / format as a PE as well.

Hope this will meet your requirement, fellow members can put more light on the matter.
