As per EPFO Circular dated 4th May 2017, the EPFO has observed that since there are difficulties in submission of aadhaar along with pension claims from North East Region, with reference to the same EPFO has decided that aadhaar may not be insisted for pension (10 D) claims for members working in establishments located in the North Eastern states till 30th September 2017. However, all efforts are being made for linking aadhaar for members and pensioners under Employee Pension Scheme, 1995 as early as possible.
