Hi Team,
Need help with leave policy. Need to know the specific Act & section which mandates a company to have a leave policy in place.How many employees should be there in the company?
For e.g. If I have a firm registered as commercial establishment with 10 employees, am I legally bounded to have a leave policy(PL/CL) for my employees OR Can I simply have "No paid leaves" policy (any leave taken = salary deduction)

If you are a commercial establishment, you will be covered by the Shops and Establsihment Act of your State and you are bound to frame a leave policy as per the said Act even if you have 10 employees..
